<p>The safe has an excellent exterior (VERY scratch resistant). The interior hold exactly what it claims, but some of my extra long rifles have to lean at an angle to fit taking up more room. It holds dozens of pistols and accessories without taking up space for the rifles.</p><p>The only reason (and I mean ONLY) that it does not have 5 stars from me is the electronic lock. Don't get me wrong, it works flawlessly (and the battery can be changed outside of the safe), but it is not EMP (electro magnetic pulse) shielded. Should a massive solar flare or high altitude EMP event occur, the electronics will be fried and the safe locked out permanently. There's no secondary method on my safe to override the electronic lock in that particular scenario. </p><p>Many, if not most, "preppers" know about the potential and possibility of an EMP event. The only way around it is to totally enclose the safe in a faraday cage (including underneath the safe). </p><p>I might sound paranoid, but massive solar storms have destroyed sensitive electronics in the distant past. </p><p>If that is a concern you want to avoid, get a safe with a mechanical only locking mechanism or purchase a faraday blanket to fully wrap the safe within.</p>
