Great little safe. Wanted a bedside safe but also wanted to alert to access my pistol. The touch pad satisfied that concern. Great for traveling,too.

I purchased this vault and installed it in my vehicle. I made holes in the back on each side to run large zip ties through it, and then around the drivers seat brackets, which keeps it in an upright position and locked with the supplied cable to the brackets. Works well, and is not under the seat, which is not an option with my sedan, but basically out of view.

I'm extremely satisfied with the MV-500. I will not use it for a pistol, but for easy access for small amounts of cash that I keep on hand to save me trips to the bank. I'm so glad I took my time, and serched the internet for this product. Very very pleased

This is perfect for your home protection choice. I use is for my Beretta 92FS. It fits very well in a night stand with the cable lock to keep it in place. It also is easy to pull out of the drawer and it qualifies for California gun transportation requirements. I even knocked it out of my truck with the gun locked in it. The only thing that happened was a little scratch in the paint. The combination is customizable and easy to program. Very easy to open, even without being able to see. Highly recommended for any first time gun owners or someone looking to keep a firearm neaby for instant use.

I wish I had purchased several of these. One piece of advise, when programming, you must have a FRESH battery, not even a "good" battery from last year in the spare battery drawer. Also, you program code with safe top open.
