Felt it was a little pricy next to a comparable sized home type vault, but I did a lot of searching online and this was the only product I found for my Tundra. Justified the price for the added security. It would be nice to have a full metal box, but the construction of the 2004 Tundra console is limiting and would have lost considerable storage space. Maybe future models they could add 4 sections that drop down top hole and bolt together to make a complete box. The cover is well constructed and when installed properly it is difficult tell it is not a full box. I went with the key lock, which is good quality. It installed quickly and easily with 10mm and 13mm socket wrench. Overall I am happy with the product and would buy it again. It does look cool when you open the console lid.

Very Easy Installation, solid construction

It installs in a matter of minutes with 2 nut drivers. Since this is a cover, the weakest link is the console itself. The only way someone could get in is to rip the console out. I am extremely satisfied. My only complaints are that the key is too large (not the locking part but the part you hold on to is over sized), and you can''t close the cover without locking it. So if you know that you''ll have to get in while you are driving, you''ll have to leave your console cover and vault cover open...or keep your key handy.
