Estes AWS formed as a result of the acquisition of Automated Weapon Security by Estes Design and Manufacturing, Inc. Estes AWS helps to protect law enforcement and communities by providing its signature product, Rapid Access Weapon Lockers, which are secure, easily accessible and rapidly responsive. Estes AWS has weapon lockers available for sedans, SUVs and pickup trucks.

The Rapid Access Weapon Lockers open electronically, with no combinations to remember, and the drawer slides open automatically through patented technology, which helps protect law enforcement by allowing officers to retrieve their weapons quickly in a critical situation. Unlike gun racks within passenger compartments, Rapid Access Weapon Lockers are designed to get officers out of the kill zone (drivers compartment) in the event of an ambush.

Criminals are becoming more brazen. Long guns secured in the passenger compartment of a vehicle are in plain view and are targets for theft. Securing weapons in a locker in the trunk greatly increases the security for the community.
