One thing you should realize about this safe is that it's a little taller than others, so there's much more room for for handguns and accessories on a shelf above your long guns, which is what I was looking for. Brackets were included for a second shelf and I intend to make one. This thing is incredibly sturdy, including the hinges and locking mechanism. The door is removable so one person can move it around more easily. The mechanical lock works great, sometimes I think it is not so smooth, but definitely acceptable. My wife isn't as big a fan of my new gun safe . . . to here it reads 'gun' instead of 'safe'. Too much liberal media honey? I think she's going to come shooting sometime in the (distant) future, so maybe conditions will improve.
