"Well, the Backorder dates were wrong and I had to wait almost 2 months to get my item. At first it was going to be sent out by the first of April; then it was the middle of April; then it went to the end of April to May; then to now. The Communication from Gunsafes was great. I just didn't like being told many times my item was coming then find out it was going to be even longer. It all turned out at the end though and I am very happy with the item's I ordered....The Gun Vault is great + the Safety Cable.. Very well built.. Easy to use... Very Nice Customer Service and good prices.. I didn't need this item as fast as some as I don't have any young kids that could get into my Guns; so it wasn't to big of a deal to get my item right away; but still I should have gotten it when they said. Just I would watch more better for the backorders if any. I would Recommend this Company.."

I purchased the gun vault deluxe to house my home defense handgun (Beretta 9mm). Installing the batteries was a bit tricky, but I really like the size and top keypad. I keep it at the head of my bed, and can access my gun and two magazines in about 5 seconds. I also bought the cable and have it looped around the bed frame so no one is tempted to take the entire safe. My interior light doesn''t seem to work, but I don''t really need it. Programming it was a breeze.



In summary, good safe to keep your weapon out of the hands of children, yet easy to access quickly.

I have had a couple of pistol safes that I used under my bed and in my car trunk and the electronic one was finally sold because I was tired of the batteries running down and not having any indicator. I kept the mechanical one because of that deficiency being absent. This model finally addresses my concerns in that area. I need to know it will open when I need it and not have to worry about having the override key handy.

We ordered four of them for ourselves and family members and all worked right out of the box and exceeded our expectations. Programming was easy to do.

<p>I purchased the GV1000C-DLX model although the standard model would have been just fine. However for just a few more bucks you get more options. Very secure safe, easy to program, like the fact that the inside is padded very well. The only issue I had was a little trouble installing the battery. Overall very satisfied with the quality and security of this safe. Would highly recommend the purchase.</p>
