The safe was just as it was advertised. It arrived in good shape and I am pleased with it.

Today I took white glove delivery of three safes from gunsafes.com. 1 Steelwater GSLD593024-BLK, 1 Steelwater GSLD593924-BLK and 1 Liberty RV23-DLX Revere. Both Steelwater safes are heavier construction, have twice the fire protection and cost less than the Liberty. I loaded the Steelwater safes with 6 cases of 45 ACP ammo on the floor of the safe and the door opens and closes as smoothly as it does empty. Not so with the Liberty. With as little as 4 cases of the same ammo in the same location (on the safe floor) the Liberty became increasingly difficult to bolt the door shut. Not what I expected from a quality US made safe. If I had it to do over again all three safes would be Steelwater. Kicker is that I waited from 31 December 2012 until today 1 April 2013 for the Liberty. The Steelwater's were in stock.

Don't be afraid to purchase the Steelwater because they are manufactured in China. They are a quality product superior to the Liberty Revere and cheaper to boot. A much better value.
