Hornady's RAPiD Safe offers a revolutionary concept in storing firearms, jewelry and other valuables by combining quick and intuitive ease of access with unparalleled safety and security. Utilizing innovative Radio Frequency Identification technology for the ultimate in access control, this safe can be opened by placing the RFiD bracelet, card or key fob (each sold separately) on the large electronic reader, or with the included conventional key lock and electronic touch pad (configurable for left- or right-handed use) by using a programmed digital code. Heavy-duty 16-ga. steel construction and dual-lug locking system exceed the ASTM standards for child resistance and unauthorized access protection to ensure added peace of mind when it comes to your valuables. Gas-assist shocks grant you instant access to the safe's contents. Inside, the fully padded, removable RAPiD sleeve safely stores firearms with barrels up to 6" long, while also ensuring your weapon is kept at the perfect angle to make extraction smooth and simple. Four bolt holes allow for customized mounting convenience. Includes security cable with a 1,500-lb. test-rating, 110-volt AC plug with power cord, plus a battery pack operated by eight AA batteries (not included) for use as a handy backup power source during power outages or as a primary power source for both household and mobile applications.
