    Product Details

The GVB2000 Bio uses biometrics (fingerprint recognition) to access the safe contents. A high-performance algorithm is used to achieve speedy identification of enrolled fingerprints; and at the same time has a very low False Reject Rate (FRR) for a given False Accept Rate (FAR). This self-learning algorithm of the GunVault Bio adds new minutiae to the fingerprint sensor, which decreases the likelihood of FRR, updates slight changes that might occur over time to an enrolled fingerprint, as well as to help distinguish variations between the enrolled fingerprints. System can handle a maximum of thirty fingerprint templates.

GunVault GVB2000 Pistol Safe MultiVault Biometric

Hello. This is Shannon with Gunsafes.com and I thought I would highlight some of the great features of the GunVault GVB2000.

By far one of our most popular sellers, this biometric safe is secure, convenient and affordable.

Utilizing their patented No-Eyes Keypad, GunVault equipped the GVB2000 with leading biometric technology, and this pistol vault has demonstrated its reliability time and time again. Its False Rejection Rate (FRR) remains very low, which translates into and equally low False Acceptance Rate (FAR). This essentially means that it won’t reject your fingerprint or accept that of an unauthorized user. Combine that with 16 gauge steel casing and a tamper-proof, spring load door, and that makes for one secure pistol safe.

Capable of being mounted just about anywhere, and exceptional for use at your bedside or tucked discreetly in a drawer or closet, the convenience of the gvb2000 has proven ideal to buyers. Small and easily transported, it can also accompany you during travel, for use in the trunk of your vehicle, or in your motor home, or brought with you into your hotel room; keeping your firearms and/or valuables secure at all times.

Its main source of power is a 9 volt battery, which under normal usage should last about one year. However, there is a low battery warning light, as well as a backup AC adapter as an alternative power source. It also comes equipped with a foam lined interior to protect your valuables from scratching, and an interior light for convenience.

So, if you’re looking for a pistol safe with the latest biometric technology, the GVB2000 is one of the best options out there today. And taking into account its consumer friendly price point, you really can’t go wrong with a GunVault.

Please Note: When selecting expedited shipping options it still takes 1-3 business days for the order to leave the warehouse. The expedited shipping options allow for a shorter time in transit.

This is a awesome safe. I keep so much more than my weapon it's unbelievable. The cable is perfect to secure it. In my opinion, you won't be sorry about this purchase. People have said they had trouble with it opening, well if you wash your hands, and then try it, it works. Sometimes your hands get dry and crack and my solution worked everytime I had a problem which was only a couple. I'm in it daily for meds.

    So Cal.

    So far so good

Picked up the GVB2000 as I wanted to have the convenience of a biometric safe. In my particular situation, I have a S&W 9mm on the top shelf and flashlight, spare ammo on bottom shelf.

The LED light isn't very bright (but in a dark room would be fine for the top shelf; not so sure on seeing the bottom shelf contents!), but that wasn't a main selling point for me in any event.

Safe was easily bolted to the floor and with the included template, the holes were drilled in the correct place the first time...always a plus.

I'm a fan of the AC backup on this model. I can't speak to how quickly/long the battery lasts yet. I have had no problems with programming fingerprints or with the door opening (or not opening) as advertised.

The only reason I dock one star off the rating is something I have seen as a common complaint: On this model, there is no way to kill the "Beeps" that accompany the safe opening. This to me needs to be changed as to help keep your location (and intentions) quiet should you ever need your weapon in an emergency.

So far this biometric safe has been excellent! It has plenty of room in it to store at least two weapons. I only have my smith and wesson model 686 with a 2.5 inch barrel along with some other personal items. My wife and I have our fingerprints scanned into the safe so only we have access. Sometimes it takes 2-3 seconds to read our prints. Usually it takes 1-2 seconds on average. My firearm is loaded and secured from my 4 and 2 year old children and I have super quick access in case of an emergency. I highly recommend this safe for anyone wanting to secure their firearm and wanting quick access.

Good size for bedside safe. Runs off battery or plug in AC.

Like the light and size. Able to put both a full size 92A1 with light/laser and a 3/4 size colt 45 and have room for extra clips and a mag lite flash light.
