What does your Free Shipping Include?

For items weighing over 150 lbs we include a standard curbside delivery, this will get the truck to your house or business, they will unload the safe with a lift gate to the ground level. The carrier will call in advance to schedule delivery. Depending on the weight of the safe you may want to arrange for additional help to bring the safe inside. Please contact us before the item ships if you live on a rural route, a remote area not serviced by freight carriers, or an island. If you have a narrow, steep, or inaccessible driveway for this type of truck, please contact us prior to the item shipping to discuss other delivery options. If you need a smaller truck or delivery into your home or garage, see our White Glove Services below.

For items under 150 lbs the order will be shipped with FedEx or UPS and occasionally USPS.

Can I upgrade my standard delivery?

Browning’s Universal Vault Door is a Duo-Formed door designed to fit a variety of wall types and installation requirements. The minimum rough door opening for the Vault Door is 83 x 36, the maximum is about 84 x 37. For new construction, the external L-frame with 1/2 diameter steel J-bolt anchors (included) can be poured in place. Or you can install the vault door in an existing door frame by using expansion anchors or lag bolts (not included).

Door frame “L-flange” will fit any wall with a minimum thickness of 5 1/2"

The vault door is manufactured with an electronic lock which provides an internal lock release. Vault door is not available with mechanical lock. Universal “L frame design fits all wall thicknesses from 5½ and larger. Vault door back panel has gray carpet. Game scenes are optional with gloss finish Vault Doors. The color of the graphics and hardware will depend on the selected paint color.

Note:*Sand Metallic is only available with the Premium Scroll Scene. *Black Cherry will have chrome hardware and silver logo and decals.

Limited Warranty:

ProSteel will warrant your safe for its lifetime against damage occurring from break in, attempted break in or fire to the original purchaser of any Browning ProSteel gun safe produced after January 1, 2006. Provide the proper documentation and we will replace or repair (at ProSteel’s discretion) your safe. ProSteel will arrange for and pay the shipping costs both to and from the factory and any reasonable locksmith costs necessary to open the safe.

Break in Warranty:

If your Browning ProSteel safe is forcibly opened, we will replace or repair it at no cost to you.

Attempted Break in Warranty:

If your Browning ProSteel safe has been attacked by forcible means, we will replace or repair it at no cost to you.

Fire Warranty:

If your Browning ProSteel safe is damaged in a house fire, we will replace or repair it at no cost to you.

Pros: Was not sure of all the options available and had to call customer service. Customer service was very knowledgeable and helped me order a vault door with left hand hinges. I already had an existing concrete vault room with an 84” X 36” opening and needed a door to slide in the opening and this door worked very well. Door fits well and with all the weight still is easy to operate, paint job is exceptional and quality is great. Delivery was free and door was dropped at my garage as asked. Cons: The installation kit that was sent with the door was 9 j-hooks that you were supposed to use nuts on the securing end. I am an engineer and there is no physical way to use those j-hooks in concrete even if you have them in place before you poor the concrete. I had to buy new concrete bolts to mount the door in place. Door if 650 lbs. and awkward moving down a flight of stairs, but that was to be expected. Conclusion: It is a great door and I had the tools and knowledge to install it myself. If you’re not very handy hire the installation done by others. It looks great and functions great.
